Ann M. Porto, Psy.D. & Associates, Inc., is a group mental health practice committed to and driven by the needs and goals of each client. Located at the Atwood Medical Center in Johnston, RI, for over fifteen years, the practice has served as a vehicle for teaching and therapeutic work founded on an integrative and transformational holistic model. The holistic model is founded on the understanding that we are much more than our physical body and mind. It assumes there is an energetic unifying essence to our being, a spiritual component. Cultivating harmony and health requires that we attend to all aspects of the whole.

Our mission is to assist each valued client to actualize their highest positive integrative potential, to discover new self-compassionate skills, refine and/or reconnect with their integrative skill strengths and to challenge dysfunctional patterns of thinking, projection, and reactivity that can cause suffering and alienation from self and others.

The practice clinicians bring together practical therapeutic skills and tools that offer the opportunity for enhanced wholeness, awareness and peace through problem-solving, support and rational reflection in a nonjudgmental and nurturing environment.
